Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is for this website, www.houseofsgra.co.uk, operated by Ling Authentic Sound Limited, trading as House of Sgra.

Last updated: 16/09/2026

This policy tells you how we collect your information and how we use it, so that you can make an informed decision when using our website and our services.

What We Do

House of Sgra offers private sound healing sessions and memberships, using Tibetan and Himalayan singing bowls, at our studio near Bath.

The Data We Collect

We request information such as your name, email address, telephone number and, where relevant, any health or accessibility information you choose to share with us, which you provide when you enquire, book a session, or apply for membership.

We collect this information in order to respond to your enquiry, provide our sessions and memberships, and prepare properly for your visit. The legal basis for collecting your contact details is legitimate interest, as it is reasonable for you to expect to be contacted about your enquiry once you have submitted it. Where we collect health information ahead of a session, this is treated as special category data, and we only process it with your explicit consent.

We do not knowingly collect, process or share the personal data of children or minors. If you are under 18, please do not provide any personal information to us.

You do not have to provide us with any personal data if you do not wish to, though we will be unable to respond to your enquiry or book your session without it.

We also collect aggregate information from website visitors using cookies, which does not personally identify you. Please see our Cookie Policy for full detail.

Use of Personal Data

If you provide your telephone number, we may contact you by phone to discuss your enquiry or booking.

We may also contact you by email with information about sessions, memberships or offers we believe will be of interest to you, where you have agreed to receive marketing communications. You can tell us at any time if you no longer wish to receive these.

We use your information to administer bookings and memberships, provide customer service, and run House of Sgra as a business.

We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose it was collected for. Enquiry details from people who do not go on to book are kept for a limited period before being securely deleted. Financial records connected to bookings and memberships are retained in line with our accounting and legal obligations.

Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal data. To run House of Sgra, we work with a small number of trusted providers who process personal data on our behalf:

Our website is built on Squarespace, and sessions are booked through Acuity Scheduling. Payments are processed securely through Stripe, who handle your card details directly, we do not store full card details ourselves. Where you are asked to complete a consent or health information form ahead of a session, this is currently hosted through Google Forms, and is only used to help us prepare for your session safely.

Squarespace, Acuity Scheduling, Stripe and Google are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK through these providers, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard equivalent to UK data protection law, including through the use of standard contractual clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, where applicable. Each of these providers has its own privacy policy, which we would encourage you to review.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have certain rights regarding your personal data:

The right to be informed. You have the right to know what happens with your personal data. This privacy policy aims to give you that information.

The right of access. You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you. Upon request, we will provide this free of charge within a reasonable time.

The right of rectification. If the personal data we hold about you is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to have it corrected.

The right to erasure. Sometimes known as the right to be forgotten, this means that, if you ask us to, we will delete the personal data we hold about you.

The right to restrict processing. You can ask us to stop processing your data rather than deleting it.

The right to data portability. If you request your personal data, we will provide it in a commonly used, machine-readable format.

The right to object. You can object to us processing your personal data if you do not believe it is in your interest.

The right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data.
